SHEESY GARLIC DOUGH BALLS

A wonderful party food or delicious starter, these Sheesy Garlic Dough Balls are bound to impress.

Ingredients

For the Dough Balls

  • 500g flour
  • ½ tablespoon of salt
  • 1 x 7g sachet of yeast
  • ½ tablespoon of caster sugar
  • 325 ml warm water
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 200g Sheese Cheddar Flavour Block

For the Garlic Spread

  • 100g Dairy-Free Spread
  • 2 cloves of garlic (peeled & minced)
  • 1 Tsp Dried Parsley
  • 1 Tsp Sea Salt Flakes

Directions

  1. Put the flour and salt in a bowl and make a well in the middle. In a jug mix the water, yeast, sugar and oil. Leave for 10 minutes until the yeast is bubbly. Add the liquid to the flour and work well with your hands. Once the dough has come together, put it on a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes. Return to a lightly oiled bowl, cover with cling film and leave somewhere warm for about 45 minutes or until doubled in size.
  2. Knock back the dough and separate into 20 even balls. Cut the block of Sheese into 20 even cubes and put each cube inside a dough ball. Roll again to ensure the Sheese cannot be seen. Place on a lightly greased baking tray and leave for 20 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, mix all of the ingredients for the garlic spread in a bowl & then liberally brush the spread all over the balls, before sprinkling with salt
  4. Bake in a pre-heated oen at 240 degrees c for 5- 8 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.
